If you wish to explore a career working with children in early years, or a pathway into higher education, then this course can offer both of these options. You will study on a full-time basis for one year. This course develops the wide ranging knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to seven years old. By the end of this course, you’ll have increased your confidence, childcare and education knowledge.

Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs with English and maths at grade 4 or equivalent qualifications.

Career Progression

Progression may include the second year of study which will lead to a level 3 diploma and EYE status and a licence to practice. Following completion of this second year, you could progress to university or relevant employment.
