The Pathway develops your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teaching assistant in a school. You will learn about supporting learning in the classroom as well as developing your understanding of behaviour management, how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people and health and safety policies and procedures. The Pathway is available to be studied online or face to face at a variety of venues. You will gain valuable qualifications which will enhance your CV and future career opportunities. Full training will be given to enable you to access the learning experiences provided online.

Career ProgressionProgression may include Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2. All students progressing onto vocational qualifications will need an enhanced DBS. Voluntary work experience in a school needed for level 2 teaching assistants.
