BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Animal Management
Course Information
This qualification is a one-year full-time course, or as part of a two-year, full-time study programme. The national foundation diploma is a standalone qualification, however it is the first year of the national extended diploma in animal management should learners wish to complete the two-year programme. The course includes both practical and theoretical elements preparing learners for a career within the animal management sector or for further study.

Learners are taught by subject specialists who have worked in a variety of contexts within the animal management sector. In addition learners have access to a wide variety of species, including small mammals and exotics housed within our purpose built animal care centre. In addition learners undertake farm practicals at Home Farm within the Temple Newsam estate.

Career Progression
The foundation diploma is the academic equivalent of one and a half A-levels, should learners complete the two year programme this is the equivalent of 3 A-levels allowing learners to progress onto higher education should they wish.
