Benefits / Skills
Learners are taught by subject specialists who have worked in a variety of contexts within the animal management sector. In addition learners have access to a wide variety of species, including small mammals and exotics housed within our purpose built animal care centre. In addition learners undertake farm practicals at Home Farm within the Temple Newsam estate.

- Externally assessed exams
- Externally assessed synoptic assessments
- Internally assessed module assignments
Career ProgressionThe foundation diploma is the academic equivalent of one and a half A-levels, should learners complete the two year programme this is the equivalent of 3 A-levels allowing learners to progress onto higher education should they wish. Learners get the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to undertake a variety of careers within the animal management sector
