BTEC Level 2 Technical Diploma in Horticulture – Subject to approval

This one year full time course will allow learners to gain the skills and knowledge to work with a variety of plants. This qualification will be taught at Temple Newsam, a large country estate on the outskirts of Leeds. Within the estate there is a wide variety of ecological and managed horticulture areas to effectively develop learner skills. This is the perfect location to undertake any horticulture qualification. There are five mandatory units that relate directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected from horticulture employers within the sector. In addition there are additional units that are specific to the surroundings at Temple Newsam.

If you are in year 11 or 12 and are looking to take your next steps towards a career in horticulture then this course is for you. Studying in the idyllic Temple Newsam estate with the renowned Walled Garden with its glass house and 800 yard herbaceous borders as well as the Rhododendron Walk, there really is no better place to study Horticulture in the region.
