This course is for people working in or looking to work as internal quality assurers within the vocational assessment process. It is open to people carrying out quality assurance of assessment in most learning environments including further education, employment settings and the third sector.

Course Information

Students will learn about the principles and practices of internal quality
assurance and how to plan and carry out internal monitoring activities in their
own area. They will attend three monthly workshops to learn the knowledge
relating to the principles and practices of IQA and have access to individual
tutorials around these contact times to plan for IQA and gather evidence of
competence in this area with coaching from experienced tutors.

Assessment Types

Learners will complete a portfolio of evidence. There will also be continuous assessment which includes written tasks and activities, case studies and project work.

  • Qualifications at level 2 and 3 will be required for higher levels
