This course is ideal if you want to go to university or study a higher apprenticeship in business or finance. Access courses are recognised by many universities as an alternative for A levels. Please check the course requirements of your chosen degree first. With this course, you will improve your presentation, research, and academic writing skills. You will also develop reflective practice, whilst studying specialist business units.

Course Information

The course will be delivered from February 2021 to June 2022, with a mixture of face to face lessons in college and online taught sessions. Full resources for the course will be available through Google Classroom. We will give you support in developing both your research and study skills as these play a vital part of the course.

Assesment Types

All assessments are based on internal assignments.

Entry Requirements

It is preferred that you have GCSE in English. Universities are increasingly asking for GCSEs as part of their entry criteria and we will offer you the chance to take a class alongside your Access programme.

Career Progression

  • Employment within the business sector or university progression.
  • Graduates will come away with transferable skills including the ability to analyse data and communicate effectively.
