You will develop the academic skills, knowledge and understanding to enable you to progress into Higher Education or pursue a career in Primary Teaching.
Assessment is through portfolio, assignments and internal assessments. Your course teachers will guide you through the assignment criteria for each unit and make sure you are prepared to achieve your best.
Students wishing to enrol on the Access course must be 19 by September 1st in the year the course starts.
Students must hold a level 2 pass in English and maths before enrolling onto an Access to HE course. This would be an A-C (9-4) in GCSE’s or Level 2 functional skills. If a student with level 2 functional skills wishes to study a GCSE alongside their Access to HE course they can, but we would recommend only one due to the demands of both courses.
After successfully completing this course you will be able to study a degree in either a relevant business or IT area at University. View our University Centre course here.
Alternatively you could seek an apprenticeship or employment in these sectors.
