As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- In-process inspection
- Selecting materials for use
- Cutting Material (Saw)
- Running Pre-set machining centres
- Daily checks of machines
- Programming & editing of machine tools
- Forming & bending using machine tools
- Deburring linishing
- Assembly of component parts
- Testing hydraulic/pneumatic

Training to be Delivered
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Your training plan
- Manufacturing Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Apprenticeship training will be delivered at Printworks Campus
- Training will be delivered one day per week
