13 Week Programme:
Successful applicants will enrol on a fully-supported 13 week programme of college attendance and work placement.
In the unpaid work placement, you will be given an opportunity to learn new skills, gain valuable knowledge and grow your work experience profile. The work placement employer will assign a mentor to you, and on completion of the work placement you may be offered a position, if one is available. If no opportunity is available at that time, a meaningful exit interview will be arranged and an employer reference will be provided to assist with future job applications.
Week 1 - 3:
You will attend college Monday - Friday. Develop your employability skills and work towards a qualification in Customer Service.
Weeks 4 to 13:
You will attend college for two days per week (Mon, Fri) for employability skills, Customer Service, maths and English.
You will also attend a three day work placement (Tues,Wed,Thurs).
The length of the placement may be extended if it suits your needs, and that you and the employer agree.
The work placement is unpaid. A free bus pass may be available to learners depending on household income. Employers may contribute towards the learners lunch but this will be at the employer’s discretion.
Workshops will aim to develop a range of skills, including interview/presentation, communication, teamwork, independence, problem solving, planning/organisation, curriculum vitae and application writing.
Enrolling on to our traineeship programme will require you to develop your maths and English skills, working towards achieving the level above your current qualification. This is the same for all traineeship programmes.
