Danielle Choma

Danielle manages the School Liaison team at Leeds City College, working closely with internal departments and external partners. She loves to generate energy and enthusiasm to excel and challenge people or teams so they can achieve their best, but most importantly to inspire students! She started her career with the college in 2014, initially within the 14-19 Partnership team working across Leeds and Keighley teaching pre and post 16 students.

She currently chairs the ‘NEET’ [young people not in education, employment or training] Moving On project [a work stream identified from the Strategic Board, Leeds City Council] working with other educational providers. Danielle is also a staff member on the Leeds City College governance board.

When not at work, she loves to play hockey, attempt sprint triathlons, be outdoors and loves to plan holidays!

 

Amy Ridley

Amy is the School Liaison Team Leader and has a passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their full potential. Amy studied English Language at the University of York and completed a PGCE in Lifelong Learning at the University of Huddersfield, before working at an off-site educational provision in Leeds. When she is not busy working with schools across West Yorkshire, giving students an insight into college life and the fantastic opportunities at Leeds City College, Amy enjoys reading and exploring the UK.

Helen has been a member of the Apprenticeships Team and currently the School Liaison Team and has a background of school liaison work with universities and widening participation programmes. Helen has worked with schools across Yorkshire and supports students of different abilities to achieve their goals. She enjoys holidays abroad with friends, lots of meals out and looking after her family! Helen’s current role involves giving information, guidance and support to schools, particularly for post-16 students.

 

Tawanda Mukombiwa

Tawanda is one of our School Liaison Officers/Project Management Apprentice. Tawanda started at the college doing a Customer Service apprenticeship shortly after finishing his A levels and has now achieved a range of qualifications whilst working at Leeds City College. He admits that having these has helped him progress onto other roles within the college, working for the Apprenticeship Recruitment team and helping current and prospective students follow a similar journey.

Lori studied Theatre and Performance at The University of Leeds and has worked within the education sector for the past four years. She strongly believes that everyone should be entitled to an education and encourages lifelong learning! Prior to her role at Leeds City College, Lori supported children with special educational needs and has taught English in Spain and Honduras. Her favourite things are travelling the world, playing with her poi and walking her two dogs, Luna and Marney. Lori loves getting to know new people, which explains why she enjoys careers fairs so much!

 

Lee Perks

Lee works closely with the Events team in his dual role of School Liaison and Events Officer. Lee studied Secondary Physical Education and Sports Coaching at university and has a passion for anything sporty. When he’s not at work, Lee enjoys spending time playing cricket and golf. His role includes organising internal and external events to ensure that potential students get to see the range of different courses available at Leeds City College.

 

Craig Fee

Craig is a member of the School Liaison team who has joined Leeds City College after 10 years of working as a Student Manager / Music teacher in high schools in Calderdale. He studied Popular Music Production at Huddersfield University and still teaches music privately and writes, records and performs his own music. He is also a committed cyclist who has cycled across Europe and hopes to cycle around the world in the future. Craig likes to work inspiring younger people as he bases his own success on opportunities he was given by similar influences in his own life.
