On this programme you will develop the skills which employers are looking for such as teamwork, communication skills, problem solving and health & safety awareness. We will also work with you to develop your knowledge of job search and interview techniques.

Develop your skills in a specific job role and/or industry, while providing relevant workplace experience for a future apprenticeship or employment.

Allows you to experience a specific job and industry prior to committing to a full apprenticeship.

 

How you will be assessed

You will attend college (Monday to Friday) from week one to week three and then a three days work placement (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from week four to week thirteen.

Where is the course delivered

In the workplace with attendance at college.

Entry requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be aged between 16-24 on the start date of the traineeship programme. Candidates with EHCPs up to 25 years old.
  • Not have any previous qualifications at level 3 or above.
  • Not currently in employment, and have little or no work experience.
  • Have not previously enrolled on to a traineeship or apprenticeship.
  • Have a reasonable chance of being ready for employment or an apprenticeship within six months of completing the traineeship.
